Where To Start

Unsure of how we will complete your appraisal during this global pandemic? As you know the safety guidelines are frequently changing, but we would like to speak to the safety measures we have in place for both the appraiser and the resident at this point. If we are exhibiting symptoms or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 we will not continue to work. Contact us today or see below for a list of key points of how we can safely complete your appraisal together.

Key Points



Banks are essential businesses, and appraisers are still working hard to ensure financial and real estate transactions still happen during this time. It is up to the Lender to determine whether an exterior-only appraisal is allowable.



We ask each homeowner/contact person the following questions prior to scheduling an appointment:

  • Is anyone in the household currently exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19?
  • Has anyone in the household been in contact with parties who have a confirmed case of COVID-19?



In compliance with the local health department and CDC guidelines, we take the following additional precautions:

  • Respectfully, we will not shake your hand, but we thank you for your business
  • We wear new gloves and shoe coverings at every property
  • We will wear a facial mask covering the nose and mouth
  • We do sanitize/wash hands between each appointment after glove removal
  • We will wear any additional protective coverings suggested by the CDC as necessary

We kindly ask the homeowner/contact person:

  • To turn on the lights and open doors in advance of the appointment to limit contact with surfaces
  • Important questions regarding the property when scheduling over the phone to help limit your interactions while at the property
  • To maintain social distancing during the appointment if they are present
  • Scan and email ([email protected]) or fax (916-357-9916) any supporting documentation to us in advance of the appointment
  • Please do not hand us papers
